The conference on Interactive Technologies and Games: Education, Health and Disability was succesfully organised by Nottingham Trent University, on 27 October 2009 and brought together academics and practitioners that showcased practice and presented how research ideas and outcomes can be mainstreamed.
The User Context Analysis has been completed, the project consortium would like to thank all people and organisations who provided their valuable feedback.
Our project will involve students and learners in designing, making and testing the games to make sure that they will help people to develop their skills for living and work.
When we have tested projects like this one before, we have found that students and learners have found the games interesting and enjoyable as well as learning a lot from them. Teachers and trainers have also been able to change the content of the games to be able to use them in different ways to meet their needs. The games are developed so that everyone will be able to use them.
There are lots of activities in the games that will suit people who learn in different ways. They will meet guidelines that have been set to make sure that everyone can use them and that they will be useful for the people we want to work with. To be sure of this the people who will be using our games when they are finished will be fully involved in design and testing stages of the project.
