The aims of the project are:

  1. To support the acquisition and use of knowledge, skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development by developing a curriculum, incorporating a suite of accessible, interactive computer games with embedded learning objectives in Basic Skills, Personal Development and Employment Preparation
  2. To support improvements in the quality and innovation in VET by pulling together a group of expert organisations who are delivering state of the art, quality services and developments, cross-sectorally, to the target group and, through co-operative development, create a synergy that will raise the capacity across Europe to provide quality and innovation in VET across Europe.
  3. To enhance the attractiveness of VET by the use of engaging, innovative, culturally appropriate curriculum and learning materials in a blended learning approach to match the needs of individual learners.

Operational Objectives:

  1. To facilitate the transfer of innovative practices in the field of VET, by adapting our innovative e-games and e-learning materials developed for disaffected young people and offenders to suit another target group, for use in other sectors (voluntary) and other countries.
  2. To support the development of innovative ICT-based content, services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learning by transferring the virtual incubator developed in Bulgaria for use in this country and Greece in the pedagogical platform of a learning portal and by adopting a blended learning approach and informal learning groups (games ladders). Our outputs address the rationale listed above by their learning objectives, addressing Basic Skills gaps, Key Skills gaps, personal Development needs and materials in employment preparation and work sustainability to develop employability in the target group.
  3. To improve the quality and to increase the volume of co-operation between institutions or organisations providing learning opportunities, enterprises, social partners and other relevant bodies throughout Europe through the use of the partnership’s extended networks of Key Stakeholders, providers and voluntary sector groups responsible for the VET of our target group and by a strong valorization strategy.
  4. To improve the transparency and recognition of qualifications and competences in non-formal and informal learning by working closely with the QCA in the development of the Foundation Learning Tier and by our use of assessment techniques monitoring small steps of progression, for the recognition of achievement in our target group.
