    The conference on Interactive Technologies and Games: Education, Health and Disability was succesfully organised by Nottingham Trent University, on 27 October 2009 and brought together academics and practitioners that showcased practice and presented how research ideas and outcomes can be mainstreamed.

Nottingham

NTU is a Higher Education institution. Its Main areas of activity are teaching at undergraduate and post graduate students, and research. It is GOAL’s overall manager, and an expert in the areas of:

  • Applying and deriving User Sensitive Inclusive Design methods for working with excluded groups.
  • Developing accessibility and learning model design guidelines for cognitive impairment.
  • The use of interactive technologies to combat impairments.
  • The design and evaluation of novel ICT for the work preparation of people with disabilities.
  • The design of virtual tutors to scaffold the learning of people with cognitive impairments.
  • Applying innovative interactive technologies to promote the social inclusion of people with cognitive impairments.
  • Applying gaming strategies to the design of e-learning materials.
  • Using advanced project management techniques.
